Job Outlook

Phlebotomists' employment is projected to grow 25% by 2026, much faster than the average for all occupations.  Hospitals, diagnostic laboratories, blood donor centers, and other locations will need phlebotomists to perform bloodwork.

Job prospects are most significant for phlebotomists who receive certification from one of the many certification agencies such as MedCA.
