Self-Assistant medication aides (Med Techs) are responsible for assisting residents in an assisted living facility or Home Health setting with prescription and over-the-counter medications and are responsible for performing the following tasks:

• Assisting with self-administered medications.

• Verifying the identity of patients receiving medication.

• Recording names of medications and dosages.

• The recording time of administration of medication.

• Observing residents to detect response to medication.
